So you are thinking about buying a farm?
At Rural and Lifestyle Sales we have a team of specialist rural salespeople to help guide you on your search for the next property. All either live on their own block of land or have done so in the past, and also have wide agri-business experience. We have an extensive network of contacts and professional relationships throughout the lower North Island region and further afield.
Detailed information memorandums
For most of the farms we promote you can expect to see an Information Memorandum which will include details such as the locality, schools, buses, soils and fertilisers, climate, management system, livestock performance and stocking rates, water supply, farm paddock map, contour, farm infrastructure, pasture improvement plans, resource consents and a summary of the legal titles and rateable value.
Local knowledge is valuable
When ‘shopping’ away from home where you are less familiar with the soil types and climate it pays to have someone alongside you with sound local knowledge. We are proud to say our team has that. When you visit a farm with Rural and Lifestyle Sales, one of our tools of trade is the heavy spade strapped to our quad bike. We regularly stop and dig so you can judge for yourselves first hand the soil, pasture depth, presence/absence of insect pests etc.
We can also put you in touch with local experts such as farm consultants, fertiliser company reps, stock agents or valuers to provide independent advice.
